VOID Terms of Use
Last updated: 7 October 2026
By using VOID you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the app.
1. What VOID is
VOID is a media player for iOS. It shows information about content from public catalogues (TMDB) and plays video files and streams coming from the sources that the user connects on their own.
VOID does not host, distribute, index or provide any video content. The app is installed with no preconfigured source: until you connect a source of your own, there is nothing to play. In the «Free on the web» section the app may point you to a few sites that publish works under a free licence or in the public domain (for example the Blender Foundation's films, Wikimedia Commons, NASA): these are pointers, not VOID content, and each site's and each licence's terms continue to apply.
2. Sources and the user's responsibility
You decide which addresses, servers and services to connect to the app — typically your own media server (Jellyfin, Plex, WebDAV), your cloud storage (Google Drive, Dropbox) or a direct link.
You undertake to use only sources and content for which you hold the rights or the necessary permissions, in compliance with applicable laws and the terms of use of the services involved.
As with a browser or any media player, the tool is neutral: the choice of addresses and what you do with them are entirely your responsibility. The developer does not control, verify or approve the sources users enter, has no way of knowing them (they stay on your device) and disclaims any responsibility for how they are used.
3. Prohibited uses
You may not use VOID to:
- access, copy or distribute copyright-protected content without being entitled to do so;
- circumvent technical protection measures (DRM) or access restrictions;
- breach the terms of use of third-party services;
- pursue any purpose that is unlawful under applicable law.
4. Third-party services
The catalogue and metadata come from TMDB. This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB. The services you connect remain governed by their own terms: VOID is not a party to that relationship.
5. VOID Premium (subscription)
Some features may be offered through a VOID Premium subscription.
- The purchase is made exclusively through Apple in-app purchases.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID when you confirm the purchase.
- The subscription renews automatically unless turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; renewal is charged within 24 hours before the period ends.
- You can manage or turn off renewal in _iOS Settings › Apple ID › Subscriptions_.
- The subscription unlocks app features: it does not provide, unlock or give access to any video content, which depends solely on the sources you connect.
- The price, length and renewal of each plan are shown in the app, before you buy, by the App Store; any price changes are handled by Apple.
- You can restore a purchase you already made from the VOID Premium screen (_Restore purchases_).
- Any refunds are handled by Apple under its policies.
- The free version may show short spots made by VOID itself before some videos and a daily limit on new downloads; Premium removes them.
For the app, and to the extent applicable, Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement for apps downloaded from the App Store also applies.
6. No warranty
The app is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, the developer does not warrant that the service is free of errors or interruptions, nor the availability, quality or lawfulness of the sources you configure. Compatibility with every format, codec, server or third-party service is not guaranteed.
7. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for indirect damages, loss of data or loss of profit arising from use of the app. Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.
8. Changes and termination
These terms may be updated; substantial changes will be flagged in the app. You can stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it.
9. Governing law
Unless mandatory consumer-protection rules provide otherwise, Italian law applies.
